Originally The Young Wick Players, we have been presenting drama in Southwick since1948.  It was in the winter of 1962 that we presented our first production as the Wick Theatre Company.  

The achievements of many dedicated to the arts have seen by thousands over the years.  We are honoured to present a roll-call of past plays, their cast and crew.  Reviews of the day are included and they make fascinating reading.  A page of our more recent publicity posters has also been put together and a very colourful lot there are! 

The drop-down list gives direct access to our performances linked from a list in production order.

  • The first 100 productions from 1950 until 1979. 

  • The second 100 runs through to the end of 2004.

  • The third 100 is under way

Alternatively the table below will give direct access to the year. 

Dating criteria; Wick has customarily performed for a Season, commencing in the Autumn and running through to the following Spring.  But to avoid any confusion the play's year has been determined by the date of its opening night.

  • Including Walter Hix writing in the Brighton Argus about the upcoming 21st Season [1969 - 1970].

Building this library will take some time - we commenced this in April 2003 - so bear with us.  Whilst Ralph Dawes has studiously maintained records over the years many others have their own treasured mementoes and we thank all who have loaned material so that Wick's past might be a beacon today to the future.
